I bought the book from you last year and loved it. I have told several people about it. I am descended from Abram Hughes who was a blacksmith in Holmesville, although he is not mentioned in the book. I believe I am also kin to the Youngs of that area. Great reading and a true southern patriot.

I am a descendant of the MIXON and WATSON families who lived in Pike County as early as 1841. They descended from slavery. I would like to connect and share information with anyone knowledgeable of Pike County slavery patterns; especially any having knowledge of the Mixon family; many of whom settled near Gillsburg and McComb.

I am a descendant of Peter Sandifer. My gg grandmother was Martha E Sandifer who was his daughter. She married Jerimiah W. Holland in LA. I have had problems finding anything on the Holland side but great success with the Sandifer side. Thank you for this book.

Nancy, my Quin line is Peter Quin Sr 1750-1824, Col Peter Quin Jr, Judge H. Murray Quin, Emma Eoline Quin who married Luke W Conerly. I visited the Quin Cemetery in Holmesville MS last year. I was happy to see the DAR has Peter Quin Sr's grave marked for his Revolutionary War service.
